The Stuttgart Ballet, one of Europe’s premier ballet academies, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It rose to fame in the 1960s under Artistic Director John Cranko. The academy proved a springboard for star choreographers and dance icons William Forsythe, Marcia Haydée and John Neumeier. The ballet company is still going strong 50 years on.
